Freya Mowat

Freya Mowat grew up in the United Kingdom, studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bristol, and gaining her PhD in Molecular Genetics from University College London (Institute of Ophthalmology). She finished a Comparative Ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University in 2015, and was an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University from 2015-2019. She joined the faculty at UW-Madison in January of 2020. She is a board-certified Veterinary Ophthalmology specialist with both the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband and 3 cats.
